As conflict escalates even further, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent are the only major agencies able to work across frontlines in Syria.

Thousands of people are struggling to preserve their safety and their livelihoods, and many have been displaced from their homes or have fled the country. Access to healthcare, and food, water and other basic supplies remains difficult in many parts of the country.

Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers are risking their own lives to provide a lifeline for everyone in Syria caught up in the conflict.

Since mid-2011, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has provided aid including food and healthcare for around 750,000 people affected by violence across Syria.

Items the British Red Cross has funded include:
  • eight ambulances
  • 3,000 food parcels
  • 3,144 hygiene kits
  • 8,400 blankets
  • 2,920 kitchen sets
However, more funds are needed to ensure we can carry on providing vital aid in this desperate situation. Please make a donation today to help us continue to help those in need.
